In Kenya and Tanzania<\/a>, the temperatures can be extremely high. You’re certainly going to sweat more than ever before.<\/p>\n

That’s why it’s especially important to take lots of t-shirts with you. You may need to put a fresh one on each day.<\/p>\n

Yet, if you take a few breathable t-shirts with you, you’ll be able to endure more days with the same top.<\/p>\n

You don’t want any brightly colored t-shirts either. Always stay with earth-colored shirts so you don’t scare off the animals with your pink neon tops.<\/p>\n

3. Trusty Long Zip-off Pants<\/h2>\n

Zip-off pants may not be the most fashionable clothes. However, you’ll be thankful you brought them with you on safari.<\/p>\n

When you’re on safari, the climate can be unforgiving. The temperatures are constantly rising and falling.<\/p>\n

You may begin the day with multiple layers and end the day with your shorts and a t-shirt. Being able to quickly change your pants into shorts is a godsend.<\/p>\n

However, you also want to keep your long pants on when to avoid the bugs and dust getting on your skin.<\/p>\n

4. Comfortable Hiking Boots for Walks<\/strong><\/h2>\n

You may be tempted to wear sneakers on your safari. However, hiking boots will leave you much better prepared than sneakers.<\/p>\n

If your feet get wet when you’re wearing sneakers, it can take ages to dry off. You can also damage your feet walking too much in sneakers.<\/p>\n

You may need to be on your feet for many hours during the day. Hiking boots should be comfortable for any activity and keep you dry.<\/p>\n

5. Hats to Switch Between Weathers<\/h2>\n

You may not normally be a hat wearer. But, when you’re on safari they’re essential.\u00a0The changing temperatures mean that one hat isn’t enough while you’re on safari.<\/p>\n

When it gets cold, you’ll need a woolen hat to keep you warm. This may be especially useful when you’re sleeping at night.<\/p>\n

When the sun is out, you need to protect your skin. A sun hat can help to keep your sun out of your eyes. The classic safari hat works perfectly.<\/p>\n

6. Sunglasses to Shade You From the Sun<\/h2>\n

Imagine if you encountered an elephant on your safari. Only you couldn’t catch a glimpse of the creature because the sun was too bright.<\/p>\n

You need to take sunglasses with you on your adventure. Preferably, check that they have UV protection from the sun.<\/p>\n

7. Keep the Rain off Your Back With a Waterproof Jacket<\/h2>\n

If you’re on safari in the rainy season, you’re going to need a waterproof. Just pack a light one so you can stuff it in your backpack when you’re not wearing it.<\/p>\n

This is also useful when the temperature drops at night time. Waterproof jackets provide you with a much needed extra layer.<\/p>\n

Also, your safari vehicle may not have a roof. So, when it rains, it pours. You’ll get soaking if you don’t have a waterproof.<\/p>\n

8. Sandals for Around the Campsite<\/h2>\n

You’ll probably be wearing your hiking boots throughout the day. But, as soon as you get back to the campsite, you won’t want to keep your big boots on.<\/p>\n

You can simply change into your comfortable sandals for getting around the camp. This is especially useful if you want to slip some shoes on during the night.<\/p>\n

9. Swimsuit for a Dip in the Water<\/h2>\n

You never know if you’re going to get the chance to go swimming. Ensure that you pack your swimsuit with you in case you get the opportunity to take a dip in the water.<\/p>\n

This is a great way to cool off after a long day in the heat. It would be a shame if you have to miss out because you didn’t bring your swimsuit.<\/p>\n

10. A Dapper Outfit or Cute Dress<\/h2>\n

Even though most of the time you’ll be out exploring the wilderness on your safari. You may some opportunity to enjoy an evening meal and a few drinks.<\/p>\n

You won’t want to wear your hiking boots and zip-off pants for this occasion. You need to pack some nicer clothes to look your best.<\/p>\n
