Day 1: Tsavo East National Park, 120km, 3hrs
Today the tour starts early and we embark on our journey towards eastern Tsavo through the Mombasa Nairobi highway. Upon arrival, there will be park entrance fees registration followed by an en-route morning game drive via Aruba Dam.

Tsavo is one of the oldest and largest national parks in Kenya. Together, Tsavo East and West National Parks make up an area of 21,000 sq. kilometers and are therefore also one of the world’s largest national parks. The eastern part of the park constitutes just over half of Tsavo and is characterized by a single landscape shaped by volcanic activity many thousands of years ago.

Thanks to the Galana River which runs through the park, there is a rich and varied wildlife in Tsavo East. Day 2: Tsavo East to Tsavo West – Full Day in Tsavo
Spend full day in the Tsavo. After a buffet breakfast at the lodge, together with your driver guide you will venture the park to search of animals including the red elephants and in this rugged park. Enjoy early morning game drives in the park.

Later, make a short drive to the neighboring Tsavo West Park with on route game drive as you cross from park to park searching for the “Big Five” and other lesser wildlife.

Tsavo West covers an incredibly diverse landscape ranging from wetlands and natural sources to hilly terrain created by volcanic activity with natural vegetation.

Visit a natural spring, Mzima Springs, which originates in the Chyulu Hills. It is surrounded by palm trees and acacia trees and the source produces an incredible 220 million liters of water a day – enough to meet most of Mombasa’s need for fresh water.

There is also a unique underground space where we can see crocodiles, hippos and a number of fish very close – through a window.

The park offers great opportunities to see many of the wildlife. Here, among other things, mentioned are black rhinos, buffaloes, large herds of elephants colored almost red to dust, leopards, lions, cheetah giraffe, and more. In the plains we can see herds of grazing giraffes, oryx, zebras and impalas.

In the afternoon there is a scheduled game viewing to explore this large park. The afternoon game drive including a tour of the Rhino Sanctuary where you might be luck to spot the rare Rhinoceors. Tsavo East National Park – Kenya’s Largest.

Of the two Tsavo parks in Kenya, Tsavo East National Park is the largest in Kenya with nearly 14,000 square miles of savanna and grassland. Here, the landscape is generally flat and dry, and you can see the dusty, red soil that one also associates with African nature.

As Tsavo East National Park is known to be a hot and dry area, the experience must be found at the water holes or along the rivers where the animals come to drink.  Especially at Aruba Dam, animals congregrate to drink water. Around the Galana River that runs through the park you can see the huge red elephants, but also rhinos, lions, baboons, leopards and buffaloes.

Drive to Crocodile Point for a great view of crocodiles and hippos, and stop at Lugard Falls for a beautiful panorama of rushing waterfalls on the reddish cliffs.

Here are also several species of monkeys, and more than 600 species of birds have been recorded, with the largest of all, the ostrich, represented by the southern red-legged variant in western Tsavo, while the northern variant with the blue legs is seen in it, eastern Tsavo.
