Samburu Game Reserve is part of a larger consecutive 845 km2 reserve area, consisting of Samburu, Buffalo Springs and Shaba Game Reserves. The game reserves together form a very large cohesive bush area with beautiful and varied scenery scenes, where the feel of ‘Old Africa’ is clearer than many other places.

This area is known to house several animal species, which are rarely seen elsewhere than here in northern Kenya. It is among other things the graceful long-necked Gerenuk (giraffe gazelle) who can live forever without drinking and often eating on the hind legs. Also, the narrow-striped Grevy zebra, the net giraffe, the Somali ostrich and the oryx antelope.

Upon arrival at the lodge, the breakfast is ready. Situated directly at the area’s livelihood, ‘The Uaso Nyiro River’, which especially in the dry months attracts amounts of wildlife, the location of the lodge is optimal. Here are lots of Kenya safari animals.
