Kenya Safari – This is a breakdown of itinerary of four days Kenya safari to Lake Nakuru, Lake Nakuru National park and Masai Lodge safari
The safari departs daily at 07:30 am.
Day 1. Nairobi to Maasai Mara (Distance is 275 kms (5 hrs)).
- Pick up from your hotel at 7.30am. Drive into the Masai Mara with its amazing concentration of wildlife and outstanding scenery.
- Lunch at your lodge.
- Afternoon game drive from 4 pm until 6.30pm.
- Overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge, L,D.
The accent here is on the Masai people and the fabulous wealth of wildlife, birdlife, and natural flora to be found in the fabled Masai Mara Game Reserve.
There are many lodges surrounding Masai Mara. We highly recommend Mara Sopa Lodge which is set in the Oloolaimutia valley and blends in perfectly with its surrounding hillside landscape. Mara Sopa Lodge has earned a well-deserved reputation for the friendliness and care offered to its guests by its management and staff. The Mara Sopa Lodge has 200 beds by way of 77 rooms, 12 suites and 1 Presidential suite, all of which are ‘rondavel’ style and have en-suite bathroom facilities which provide shaving sockets and hairdryers. Every room and suite has a private, elevated verandah with splendid views across the valley and on which guests can relax, sunbathe and watch resident birds and wildlife. Mini-bars are also available in each room.

Day 3. Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru

Although Lake Nakuru is primarily a bird sanctuary, animals such as zebras, gazelles, Rothschild giraffe, impala, rhino (sanctuary) among other large mammals.
Here also there are many lodges and camps surrounding the area (Click here to view) but we recommend Flamingo Hill Camp a small and exclusive camp comprising 25 tents where you will have your dinner and overnight stay. The tents are furnished with the understated luxury required by the modern traveler. Decorated in calming safari tones, natural woods, wrought iron and crisp cotton each tent has been meticulously planned to maximize comfort. To note, all tents have facilities that include four poster beds & mosquito nets, en-suite with shower; WC and flush toilets, writing desk, a private verandah overlooking the plains, hot and cold running water and voltage at 240 volts.
